We are finally a step closer to address some bugs and issues in the forum.

The initial plan was to move the forum to a new platform, but we have have decided to give the current setup another try and fix the main issues:
  • Update to the latest version
  • Tapatalk integration
  • Email notifications (password reset, new post, new message etc.)

This work will take place between Sunday, 25. October and 15. November 2020.

During this time, you might experience login difficulties or other odd behaviours.
This is expected during this period and we kindly ask for your patience.

Forum News & Announcements / Porsche Club Update April & May 2020
« Last post by l33tg33k on April 25, 2020, 05:15:28 pm »
Posting on behalf of the president

Dear Member,

As a valued member of Porsche Club Ireland, I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.

We all are passionate about our cars - we love the design and the amazing performance but, more importantly, it's all about how the Porsche make us feel when driving it.

I am sure you have washed your car and have your key ready to grab for when the time comes and we can go out and about again to enjoy our Porsches and the company amongst our members.

In the meantime, I wanted to update you on a couple of areas:

May events
We unfortunately have no choice but to cancel all events for the month of May

Other Upcoming Events
We have postponed the Silverstone Experience in June 2020 and moved it to 2021 as any payments towards this event were non-refundable.
The committee is reviewing all other events on a continued basis and will keep you updated.

2020 Membership fees
We are currently reviewing possibilities regarding your paid membership fee will provide an update on this matter soon.

Remote meetings
With the great feedback from our North Eastern members and their remote meetings, we have invested in remote meeting technology that will allow regional leaders to organise such remote gatherings. Stay tuned for region based emails.

In the meantime
You have seen the "Film Club" emails and I wanted to thank Mike for his tremendous work so far, making sure we all can enjoy the two updates every week in our forum.

Don't forget to follow us on our social media channels and use the #PCITribe tag when posting Porsche related content. You can find links to our channels in the footer of this email.

We hope these updates are of help to you and you can look forward to further updates in the coming weeks.

The disruption to our lives amidst this pandemic is nothing like we have seen before, and for all of us passionate about Porsche and the community, it is especially hard.

But until we see each other on the road again, please stay safe and be well.

Thank you,

Karen Gaffney
President

Midwestern Region / New "Midwest Region" to Porsche Club Ireland
« Last post by l33tg33k on March 30, 2020, 07:08:11 pm »

Porsche Club Ireland has seen a steady increase in members over the past years with a new record set last year at over 330 members.

So far, members were allocated to 4 main regions to provide the ability to attend regional events in close proximity of wherever members are located.

With the continued increase of members in and around Limerick, we are happy to announce the new and 5th Porsche Club Ireland region called "Midwest" that will include members from County Limerick, Tipperary and parts of Clare.

All impacted members have been contacted already to make this transition as smooth as possible and we look forward to see the Midwest Region growing

Forum News & Announcements / COVID-19 and upcoming March/April Events
« Last post by l33tg33k on March 12, 2020, 11:41:07 am »

Posting on behalf of the President:

The health and safety of our members, families, sponsors and partners is our primary focus as we monitor the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

With the recent announcement by the WHO, it is with great regret that we have taken the decision to cancel all events between now and the end of April 2020 including national events such as the Annual Dinner and the Mondello track-day.

If you have booked a room and/or dinner at the Cork International Hotel for our Annual Dinner, please contact the hotel immediately at 021-454 9800 to cancel your booking.

We will get a better indication in the coming weeks as to how well the containment measures are working across the island.
We will continue to review the situation as it unfolds and keep you up to date on any events we can reschedule as the threat recedes and our daily lives get back to some degree of normality.

Best regards,

Karen Gaffney
President
